Boppin’ Babies is the brainchild of Vicky Abad.Vicky is a Registered Music Therapist and the Founding Director of the National Music Therapy Early Intervention Program Sing & Grow. She has extensive national and international clinical experience in paediatric and early intervention music therapy. She is the former Acting Director M.A. of Music Therapy at the University of Limerick’s Irish World Music Centre in the Republic of Ireland, and Senior Music Therapist at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. Vicky is also the convenor and lecturer of the Masters in Music Therapy Course at the University of Queensland, Brisbane. She is also mother to a pre-schooler and experienced in using music in the home too. |

Kate WilliamsKate is a Registered Music Therapist and Mum to two. She has a Bachelor of Music and Postgraduate Diploma in Music Therapy and has recently completed a Research Masters degree on the use of music therapy with parents who have a child with a disability. Following a short career in music education, Kate worked as a music therapist in special schools, mental health and private practice settings specialising in using music therapy with parents and young children. Her work has been published in both national and international journals. She was the Co-National Director of the world-first federal government funded national early intervention music therapy project (Sing & Grow). Kate founded Me My Bub & Music, which merged with Boppin’ Babies in 2010 after providing services on Brisbane’s Southside since 2007. She is currently completing her PhD fulltime. |

Shannon ReesFollowing a long and varied career in Social Welfare, Shannon has happily combined her social work skills with her love of music, becoming a Registered Music Therapist in 2007. Her experience and interest in Music Therapy include Child Mental Health (Royal Children’s Hospital), Child Development (Sing and Grow), early intervention and Community Music Therapy. In October 2009, Shannon also became a Mum to her beautiful baby boy. |

Peta HazlewoodAfter teaching Early Childhood and Special Education for a number of years, Peta recognized the power of music for children and people with disabilities. She completed her Masters in Music Therapy at the University of Queensland in 2008 and now combines her passions of music and working with children. Her experience in music therapy includes the fields of Aged Care, Brain Injury and Rehabilitation, Early Childhood (Sing & Grow) and Special Education (All ages and range of disabilities). Peta is also a mother to one toddler and two baby twin boys! Consequently she is very busy and on maternity leave!. |

Clancy CullenCompleted a Masters of Music Therapy in 2007. She has been working as a registered music therapist in special education and early intervention settings. Clancy became a mum in November 2009 to a baby boy named Banjo and this year to a beautiful girl named Dusty. They all enjoy making music together every day. |

Lauren MillerLauren graduated from the Masters of Music Therapy program at the University of Queensland in 2010, and has been working as a Registered Music Therapist in early intervention and education settings. Throughout her studies Lauren has gained clinical experience working in the areas of adult disabilities, mental health, paediatric care, and learning difficulties. Lauren completed the Boppin' Babies mentorship program in 2011 and now runs a number of fabulous groups with families all over Brisbane. |

Kate FletcherKate completed her Masters in Music Therapy in 2010. Throughout her studies Kate gained experience working in the clinical areas of special education, oncology, infants, adult and mental health. She currently works with the Down Syndrome Association of Qld to provide music therapy services to people of all ages with Down syndrome, and she works in early intervention settings. Kate completed the Boppin' Babies mentorship program in 2011 and now runs a number of fabulous groups with our families. |
